Access to Advance HE for all University staff

As the University of Melbourne is a member of Advance HE, all University staff have access to Advance HE resources and programs that support teaching and learning, research, leadership development, diversity and inclusion and governance.

Advance HE is a member-led charity for, and of, the global higher education sector to help improve higher education for staff, students and society. Advance HE provides:

  • Fellowships, which are professional recognition for teaching excellence in higher education
  • Development programs which are carefully designed to support higher education staff at every level of experience
  • Conferences and events for staff to hear about the latest developments in policy and practice and from global leaders, within and beyond the higher education sector.

Educational Transformation – Change Academy

Supports Higher Education Institutions lead sustainable educational transformation by providing a structured, peer-learning academy that combines proven frameworks, cross-institutional collaboration, and expert facilitation to drive measurable change. Change Academy focuses on curriculum, pedagogy and student support transformation. Applications close Friday 31 October.

Academic leaders survival series

The Academic Leaders Survival Series provides heads of department and program leaders with practical, expert-led sessions on the most pressing leadership challenges in higher education - from managing finances to driving change - delivered in focused 90-minute formats with ongoing peer support. Elevate Australasia

Elevate Australasia is a comprehensive support program that strengthens teaching excellence across the region through PSF-aligned spotlight events, peer networks, and contextualised Student Success frameworks - all designed specifically for Australasian higher education.
