Kevin Li was appointed to Council commencing 1 December 2024.
Kevin graduated from a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology and Politics and International Relations in 2022 and commenced a Juris Doctor in 2023.
Kevin has been extensively involved in a range of student representation roles and concluded his term as General Secretary of UMSU prior to commencing his appointment to Council. In his General Secretary role Kevin has served as the student voice in the University's Academic Integrity Policy overhaul, as well as advocating for Multiculturalism and Student Welfare, including the planning of the Mid-Autumn celebrations.
Kevin has been deeply involved in a variety of both social and cultural Clubs and Societies during his time at University and previously served on UMSU Students’ Council and a research intern for the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Studies. Through these roles, as well as his work as UMSU General Secretary, Kevin has honed his skills and experience in community leadership, conflict resolution, risk management, and stakeholder management.
Kevin strives to serve as an authentic and powerful voice at the University, speaking up for issues he cares about deeply and which impact across the student community.
