Dan is a strategic commercially focused leader with a track record of driving change and managing key business functions and programs in large organisations. With more than 25 years’ experience working in a variety of strategy, development, investment, finance and executive roles, Dan brings a broad breadth of experience to his role at the University where he is responsible for strategic plans and programs, corporate finance, commercial, property, and sustainability related activities.
Prior to the University of Melbourne, Dan worked at Pacific Hydro, a dynamic international clean energy utility helping the company became a leader in renewable electricity markets in Australia and Latin America. Before Pacific Hydro Dan worked for the international US based utility Edison Mission Energy (EME) part of the NYSE listed Edison International. Dan started his career at consulting firm Arthur Andersen.
Dan serves on multiple boards inside and outside the University of Melbourne including Chairing Camberwell Showtime, a not-for-profit youth focused theatrical production and training organisation. Educated at the University of Melbourne and Columbia Business School, Dan is a passionate leader, who believes building great teams with an empowering culture are imperative to organisational success. Dan is also an active passionate outdoor-enthusiast, family-man, with a growth focused outlook on life.
