Simon Stewart

Executive Director, Enterprise Services

The Enterprise Services Group enables enterprise transformation and operational efficiency by delivering high-quality, scalable shared services and driving cross-functional change across key functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety and Campus Operations. Through strong partnerships with executive, functional leads and faculty, the group drives measurable value, fosters a culture of enterprise-wide continuous improvement and innovation, and enhances organisational agility through focused change to support the University’s strategic goals.

Simon joined the COO leadership team in August 2022 as the Executive Director, Enterprise Performance and took up the responsibilities as Executive Director, Enterprise Services in February 2026. Simon previously led the Easier Research Business program across the University, transforming the way research support is delivered to researchers, partners, and professional staff.

Prior to joining the University, Simon had an extensive career in executive leadership and consulting roles in transformation, change and program management. His broad experience includes roles in the financial services, legal, petrochemical and oil and gas industries. He has held leadership roles at BP, NAB and ANZ, notably as Global Head of Project Delivery and Transformation.

Simon holds a Master of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
