Neil Robinson

Head of Operational Performance

The Operational Performance Group delivers functions that design, evaluate, improve and support operations across the University.

Before arriving in Australia in 1999, Neil held a series of public affairs roles in government and not for profit organisations in the UK and Europe.

Neil joined the University of Melbourne in 2000 and has worked in a variety of roles and divisions, including the Faculty of Education in marketing, student recruitment and strategic planning, and as Faculty General Manager in the faculties of Architecture, Building and Planning (2004-6) and Engineering (2006-2009).

Neil was appointed Executive Director Student Services and Academic Registrar in 2009 before moving in 2014 to the position of Executive Director Academic Services and Registrar, with responsibility for student administration and services, library and scholarly support services. In 2015 Neil took on the additional responsibilities of Deputy Head of University Services and is currently the Head of University Services.

Externally, Neil chaired the Digital Student Data Project which established MyeQuals and aims to facilitate student data transfer and exchange internationally; is President of the Groningen Declaration Network, an international student data collaboration; established the Higher Education Shared Services Roundtable; is Past President of the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement and a former Board Member of Youth Empowerment against HIV/AIDS (YEAH) and Anglican Synod of Melbourne.
