Acts as the deputy to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global, Culture and Engagement) with special responsibility for global partnerships, relationships and networks. His portfolio includes Indigenous internationalisation, sustainable development, and access and inclusion for refugees and asylum seekers.

Provides academic leadership for cultural strategy and practice at the University, with particular involvement in guiding the University’s cultural impact agenda.

Together with the DVC Global, Culture and Engagement, ensures all strategic portfolio activity is delivered according to plan, resourcing and budget, and has responsibility for overall governance, management and execution for the portfolio, including leadership accountability for key teams within Chancellery Global.

Works with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global, Culture and Engagement) on international strategy relating to and relationships with India.

---

Works with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global, Culture and Engagement) on international strategy relating to relationships with China.

Works with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global, Culture and Engagement) on international strategy relating to relationships with Indonesia.

Develops insights, capabilities and connections with diverse communities in Asia and Australia through programs in arts, business, diplomacy and education.

Increases policy and public importance of India as a crucial partner in Australia’s future, through research and policy activities across academic, political, business and community sectors. Through delivery of key program areas in education, geopolitics and security, bilateral economy and cultural diplomacy, shapes engagement among decision makers, changes perceptions about Australia in India and activates bilateral networks.

Helps create the global strategy and delivery plan across the University, including guiding how the University attracts and supports students from across the world; how and where it has presence in global locations and the strategic development of key international partnerships.

Provides strategic guidance and coordination to the University’s museums and galleries, to showcase the University’s cultural collections to the community and the world.

Works with students and the University’s performing arts community to foster creativity and develop future talent, collaborate with local and international creative industry partners, and open the vibrant University performing arts experience to the wider community.

Brings together a diverse range of stakeholder communities to enable partnership led and place-based approaches to address localised challenges. This work focusses on long-term and sustained commitments to create change and impact. Works with partners locally and globally to build civic and community partnerships practice.

Provides strategic guidance and coordination of competitor analysis, business intelligence, government affairs and performance monitoring, and drives the University’s approach to proactively shaping its policy context, public perceptions and international reputation.

Identifies and manages major development opportunities involving key industry, government and community relationships critical to the University’s agenda, and provides advice on State and Federal government strategy and policy, and business development.

Provides analysis and insight regarding public policy related to the work of the University, develops and advocates policy positions, provides advice on State and Federal government strategy and supports the University's relationships with government.
