The Engagement and Development team brings together expertise in engagement strategy, stewardship, and philanthropic programs, with a focus on creating purposeful connection points and aligning supporter interests with opportunities for impact. The team works collaboratively across Advancement and with faculties to support shared goals, strengthen relationships and enhance the supporter experience across the full lifecycle of connection with the University.
Julia joined Advancement at the University in 2021 to lead the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) Advancement team. With over 25 years of experience in the for-purpose industry, Julia's expertise includes a range of roles across marketing, stakeholder relations, governance and philanthropic development.
Prior to joining the University, Julia worked in various arts organisations including The Melbourne Symphony, Australian Ballet and Melbourne Theatre Company, and state government institutions such as Zoos Victoria and Western Health.
In addition to her professional roles, Julia has served on various committees and boards, including Polyglot Theatre and Brimbank Community Fund. She currently chairs Footscray Community Arts and completed her Company Director’s course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2022.
