Senior Director of Advancement, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS)

The Senior Director of Advancement, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) leads alumni relations and philanthropic programs for the Faculty, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors, hospitals and research institute partners.

The team includes staff who work on principal and major gifts and bespoke engagement opportunities for the MDHS faculty. The Senior Director identifies and develops opportunities for cross-faculty philanthropic support as well as negotiating shared service delivery to support school and faculty priorities.

Sandra brings over 25 years' experience in the non-profit sector — spanning major arts, health and tertiary organisations, and local government in Canada and Australia — and has led a range of multi-million dollar funding campaigns.

Sandra started with Advancement as Director of Philanthropy (Infectious Diseases and Immunity) leading major collaborative initiatives with the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, the Cumming Global Centre for Pandemic Therapeutics and the Australian Institute for Infectious Disease.

Prior to this, Sandra held executive leadership roles in fundraising and marketing at Breast Cancer Network Australia and Melbourne Recital Centre.
