Leah has extensive experience managing complex policy review and program implementation processes in the higher education and government sectors. She has worked as an academic both in Australia and the United States and has held leadership positions in strategic policy for both State and Federal Government agencies. Since joining the University of Melbourne in 2018, Leah has led the development of major education and student experience strategies and reformed the University’s approach to student academic misconduct.
Starting in late 2022, Leah has led the strategic and governance response to the emergence of generative AI in learning, teaching and assessment, building institution-wide policy guidelines, risk frameworks and capability from the technology’s emergence to its current state.
