2021 ARC Future Fellowships announced for Faculty of Science

ARC Future Fellowships support outstanding mid-career researchers in priority areas of national and global importance. The scheme aims to advance Australian innovation and collaboration across industry, research organisations and other disciplines both nationally and internationally.

Seven Faculty of Science researchers have been awarded Future Fellowships:

Associate Professor Jennifer Flegg (School of Mathematics and Statistics) — Advances in data integration modelling for infectious disease response.

Dr Christopher Hall (School of Chemistry) — Electronic-vibrational spectroscopy: A new probe for structure and function.

Dr Marcy Robertson (School of Maths & Statistics) — Using Abstract Networks to Study Symmetry.

Dr Jack Hall (School of Mathematics and Statistics) — Integral transforms and moduli theory.

Dr Carol Farbotko (School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences) — Indigenous solutions to global challenges in the Pacific Islands.

Dr Johanna Knapp (School of Mathematics and Statistics) — Universal structures in stringy extra dimensions.

Dr Gurutzeta Guillera-Arroita (School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences) — Improving predictions of species distribution dynamics.
