Greg Hunt named Honorary Melbourne Enterprise Professor

The Honourable Greg Hunt

The University welcomes Mr Greg Hunt as an Honorary Melbourne Enterprise Professor, sharing his strategic advice on innovation, leadership and health policy across the University.

Mr Hunt recently retired from a twenty-year career in the Parliament of Australia, where he held multiple ministerial appointments in health, science and innovation, and environment.

Mr Hunt was awarded First Class Honours in Law at the University of Melbourne, and was a Fulbright Scholar at Yale University where he completed a Masters in International Relations.

As Honorary Melbourne Enterprise Professor, Mr Hunt will chair the Advisory Board for Innovation and Enterprise at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, where his experience as a legislator, negotiator, strategic thinker, stakeholder manager and administrator will be valuable.

The University also looks forward to his participation in student programs including the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre, the Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP), the Translating Research at Melbourne program (TRAM) and faculty events.

The Honorary Melbourne Enterprise Professor position is shared across MDHS, the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Melbourne Business School.
