Congratulations to the following Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) staff who have been awarded Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowships: Associate Professor Natalie Hannan, Professor Simine Vazire and Dr Patrick Goodbourn.

Associate Professor Natalie Hannan’s work will use sophisticated models to improve our fundamental understanding of signalling pathways important in the developing placenta and vascular changes in pregnancy, essential to reproduction success.

Professor Simine Vazire from the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences (MSPS) is a Professor of Psychology Ethics and Wellbeing. She will examine ways to boost public trust in science through research evaluation.

Dr Patrick Goodbourn a Postdoctoral Senior Research Fellow from MSPS will look at how genes affect behaviour. We know there are relationships between genes, the brain and behaviour and this project will offer greater insights into complex gene-behaviour relationships.
