FVAS Associate Professor Zhongxiang Fang awarded Jack Kefford Award for Best Paper

The Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology has awarded the 2022 Jack Kefford Award for Best Paper to Associate Professor Zhongxiang Fang from the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural  Sciences.

Associate Professor Fang received the award for his paper Incorporating nisin and grape seed extract in chitosan-gelatine edible coating and its effect on cold storage of fresh pork in Food Control.

The Jack Kefford Award for Best Paper recognises the contribution members of the institute who publish research and technical papers have made to food science and technology.

Associate Professor Fang’s paper has been cited 82 times since publication in 2020 and is listed as 'Research Front' and a 'Highly cited paper' in the prestigious Clarivate Essential Science Indicators.
