Join the celebrations for IDAHOBIT 2019

IDAHOBIT – International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia – on May 17 is a day to stand with the LGBTQIA+ community.

8.00am - 10.00am | pRide to Uni Breakfast, South Lawn Underground Bike Hub
Hosted by the Sustainability Team, MU Sport and the UoM Pride in Action Network, Pride2Uni is a themed Ride2Uni event to celebrate uni pride, diversity and inclusion on campus. Staff and student cyclists are invited to wear a splash of rainbow and enjoy a free light breakfast, coffee/tea, bike maintenance, engraving, plus more.

Visibility in the public realm is important at both an individual and community level. But what do we mean when we say 'visibility'? How can we move beyond LGBTI+ people being seen, and towards taking control of their narrative and creating change? Join the Pride in Action Network this IDAHOBIT for a panel discussion with students, staff and academics at the University of Melbourne.

11.30am | Ride of Pride Bike Convoy
Led by the fabulous Tonie Field, the convoy will be heading up to the Parkville campus for a panel discussion about IDAHOBIT, visibility, knowledge generation and where the Pride in Action Network needs to head in the future. Don't have a bike? Don't worry. Trams need some IDAHOBIT love too.
