This event supports the University’s commitment to fostering a vibrant community of educators, valuing excellence in education, and enhancing teaching, learning and the student experience. All University of Melbourne education focused academic staff are encouraged to attend.

Associate Professor Rachel Fitzgerald
Deputy Associate Dean (Academic), Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Queensland
Rachel Fitzgerald is Associate Professor and Deputy Associate Dean (Academic) in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at The University of Queensland. Her work focuses on educational leadership and institutional change in higher education, particularly the development and recognition of education-focused academic careers and the responsible transformation of learning and assessment in response to AI. She chairs UQ’s Teaching-Focused Leadership Group and is a founder and Chair of the Australian Teaching/Education Focused Academic Network, a national community of more than 1,400 academics. Rachel is also Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of University Teaching and Learning Practice and a Principal Fellow of Advance HE.
