Esteemed delegation from China visits the University of Melbourne to discuss research and collaboration opportunities

The University of Melbourne was honoured to welcome the esteemed delegation from China, featuring almost 50 senior executives and leading researchers from more than 20 prominent institutions in China.

Organised by the China Education Association for International Exchange, the prestigious delegation heard  from a host of senior executives from the University of Melbourne, including Vice Chancellor Professor Duncan Maskell, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global, Culture and Engagement) Professor Michael Wesley, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) Professor Adrian Little, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Graduate and International Research) Professor Justin Zobel, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Professor Mike McGuckin, and Interim Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Ampalavanapillai Nirmalathas.

The University of Melbourne enjoys a long history of collaboration with institutions in China, engaging in many research and educational partnerships at both the faculty and institutional level, particularly around issues of shared interest for both countries.

The University of Melbourne values its longstanding partnerships with institutions in China, which spans over several decades.

The event included an informal networking session for the group with representatives from across the University engaging with the guests at Melbourne Connect.
