Faculty of Arts researcher Dr Tania Miletic has been awarded the 2026 Award for Distinguished Contributions to the Practice of Peace by the International Network for Peace Psychology (INPP).

The INPP bestows biennial awards recognising outstanding research and practice in peace psychology.

Dr Miletic expressed deep gratitude for the honour, saying more than two decades of learning alongside peacebuilders across the Asia and Pacific region have shaped her approach and informed her contributions to the field.

Dr Miletic is Co‑Director of the University's Initiative for Peacebuilding in the Faculty of Arts, advancing innovative approaches to conflict and peacebuilding, and working collaboratively with communities, practitioners, and institutions to address the complex challenges presented by contemporary conflicts and build pathways toward sustainable peace.

In reflecting on the award, Dr Miletic recognised the strength and solidarity of the peace psychology community and the significance of the INPP’s work in advancing peacebuilding practice globally.

The award was presented at the network’s biennial symposium in Manila in March 2026.
