Wear it Purple 2025
Friday 29 August is Wear It Purple—a day to celebrate rainbow young people, to support them to feel proud and safe to be who they are.
By joining us and wearing purple on 29 August, you will be standing up and standing out to support and include LGBTIQA+ young people and the whole community, to eliminate discrimination.
To celebrate Wear it Purple Day, the Pride in Action Network invited staff and students to a screening of Pride (2014) at 4:30 pm on Friday, 29 August, on Parkville Campus. The movie tells the incredible true story of the unlikely alliance between a striking Welsh mining community and a group of London-based LGBTQIA+ activists in the 1980s.
