The Executive Director (Advancement) offers comprehensive leadership to the overall Advancement team and oversees all advancement initiatives that engage the University’s alumni, donors and friends, and supports the broader University community and its affiliates, in alignment with the 2030 Strategy.
Oonagh began in the University of Melbourne’s Advancement team in 2014, serving in various faculty and University-wide positions, including leadership of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences Advancement team for eight years. In 2023, Oonagh assumed leadership of the newly created Principal Gifts team, collaborating with teams across Advancement and the institution to drive principal gift opportunities.
Prior to her role at the University of Melbourne, Oonagh served as Deputy Director of Development at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland, accumulating over 20 years of experience in leadership and fundraising for not-for-profit and charitable organisations.
