COVID-19 Update – 14/09/2021
The University of Melbourne remains concerned about the ongoing impact of COVID-19. This concern extends not only to our local community, but to our global network of education institutions across the world.
The University continues to work closely with the Victorian Government and our own health experts in managing our response to the pandemic. Our priority remains the health, safety and wellbeing of our University community and we are doing everything we can to reduce virus transmission. You can keep up-to-date with the University's response to COVID-19 here.
While we are unable to accommodate international delegation requests at this time, we welcome opportunities to engage with our international colleagues via virtual platforms.
If you would like to schedule a virtual meeting with University of Melbourne staff, please complete the International Visits form.
The University welcomes visitors from around the world and attaches great importance to the contribution these visits make to strengthening our international partnerships and engagement.
Visit requests from international universities, research organisations and government bodies are coordinated by Chancellery International. The team works closely with Senior Executive as well as Academic Divisions to develop a visit program that meets the needs of the visitor, enables them to gain a holistic understanding of the University and provides opportunities to develop sustainable collaborative relationships.
Arranging an Official Visit
Intending official visitors are asked to complete the Visit Request Form, preferably at least four weeks prior to the intended visit date. Chancellery International will then liaise within the University to match visit requests with University personnel and advise the sender of the outcome of the request. Although all requests are considered carefully, the University is unable to service all requests.
The University of Melbourne hosts many visiting scholars from around the world. If you are a visiting Academic Scholar, we recommend you contact the relevant school directly. Visiting scholars normally need to make contact with an appropriate academic. Find an Expert may be of assistance to those who need to identify an expert in their field.
