Ms Wendy Stops

Wendy Stops was appointed to Council on 1 January 2016 and was elected Deputy Chancellor on 1 January 2023.

She is currently a Non-Executive Director at Coles Group, Non-Executive Director and Chair of Fitted for Work, and Chair of the Industry Advisory Board for the Centre for Business Analytics at Melbourne Business School. Wendy is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ Governance of Technology & Innovation Panel, and of Chief Executive Women and its Leaders Program Committee. She was previously a Non-Executive Director at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Altium and Blackmores (Chair November 2022 to August 2023 at time of sale) and Member of the Digital Experts Advisory Committee for the Department of Industry, Science and Resource’s Digital Technology Taskforce.

Wendy has significant experience as an executive in the information technology consulting sector, spending 32 years with Accenture, the last 16 of which were in various senior management positions in Australia, the Asia Pacific and globally. She also served on Accenture’s Global Leadership Council from 2008 until her retirement in 2014.

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing) from Caulfield Institute of Technology (now Monash) and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
