Professor Adrian Hearn appointed to faculty-in-residence role in Cuba

Adrian Hearn, Professor in Latin American Studies at the Faculty of Arts has been appointed to a faculty-in-residence role in Havana, Cuba through the Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad (CASA) program.

As part of his new role, Professor Hearn will deliver a series of seminars on the topic of ‘Ethnicity and Development in Cuba’ and will also present insights from his current research into herbal medicine producers and practitioners, which is sponsored by the Australian government's aid program and the Antonio Núñez Jiménez Foundation.

Professor Hearn said: “This is an exciting opportunity to engage with students from Cuba and from the CASA Consortium universities, which are the world’s most prestigious. I expect to learn at least as much as I teach.”
