Dr Mark Gregory awarded 2021 Universitas 21 Scholarship for Professional Staff

Dr Mark Gregory

Dr Mark Gregory has been awarded this year's Universitas 21 (U21) Scholarship for professional staff.

Dr Gregory is Acting International Research Strategy Advisor, Chancellery Research & Enterprise.

His scholarship project will focus on the exchange of knowledge and ideas on effective mechanisms to internationalise Indigenous research with both national and international contemporaries, to gain perspectives on the commonalities and contrasts of Indigenous cultures of researchers at the different institutions, and to build healthy and lasting relationships to enable greater research collaborations.

For the scholarship, Dr Gregory will visit three U21 institutions - the University of New South Wales, the University of Auckland and McMaster University in Canada - as well as a further two non-U21 institutions in Canada - the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto.

The U21 Scholarship for professional staff recognises outstanding performance, provides development opportunities for the recipient and benefits the University through the advancement of its administrative and management practices.

The professional scholarship's key objective is to enable professional staff to develop their expertise, pass on their learnings, and strengthen links with other U21 institutions.
