Chris is the Pride and Diversity coordinator at Melbourne University Sport, through which he works to help ensure all sport at the University is welcoming and inclusive of LGBTQIA+ identifying people. This includes working across 45 University of Melbourne affiliated sports clubs, campus fitness services, and social sport competitions. As a former student at the University, Chris’ passion lies in helping to provide a safe, friendly and fun environment on campus where LGBTQIA+ identities are not only accepted but celebrated. He is thrilled to help realise this vision not only through his day-to-day role at the University, but also as the co-staff representative on the Pride in Action Network. In 2018, Melbourne University Sport was recognised as the joint highest ranking sports organisation for LGBTI+ inclusion in Australia, and Chris is hoping to transfer experiences in MU Sport’s "Pride journey" to the wider University setting. Outside of the University, you’ll find Chris (attempting to) hit aces on the tennis court, perfecting his Beyonce lip syncing skills, or planning his next travel adventure!
