The Senior Director Advancement, Principal Gifts, leads the Principal Gifts team to cultivate relationships with our most generous and transformative donors, whose philanthropy inspires significant and powerful societal change through the University. The Principal Gifts Team works collaboratively with teams within Advancement and across the institution to drive principal gift opportunities, including with donors whose gifts stretch across multiple areas of interest.
Oonagh began in the University of Melbourne’s Advancement team in 2014, serving in various faculty and University-wide positions, including leadership of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences Advancement team for eight years. In 2023, Oonagh assumed leadership of the newly created Principal Gifts team, collaborating with teams across Advancement and the institution to drive principal gift opportunities.
Prior to her role at the University of Melbourne, Oonagh served as Deputy Director of Development at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland, accumulating over 20 years of experience in leadership and fundraising for not-for-profit and charitable organisations.
