Together with the DVC Global, Culture and Engagement, ensures all strategic portfolio activity is delivered according to plan, resourcing and budget, and has responsibility for overall governance, management and execution for the portfolio, including leadership accountability for key teams within Chancellery Global.
Joanna recently joined the University of Melbourne following a long career at Monash University. Her most recent position was Director of Enterprise Education (Education portfolio); tasked with developing and implementing a new function to deliver education solutions to industry and government at scale. Prior to this Joanna held several senior positions across the Global Engagement and Enterprise and Engagement Portfolios, the Faculty of Education, and the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. This included establishing and directing the Monash Indonesia Representative Office, leading the Monash major projects team for the university, and building the largest ongoing transnational education partnership. Joanna has served on the Defense Science Institute Board, Water Sensitive Cities Australia (WSCA) Advisory Board, and the Institute for Safety Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR) Advisory Board.
