The Provost leads Chancellery (Academic and International) and is the standing deputy to the Vice-Chancellor.
The Provost develops and oversees academic policies, program development and learning and teaching activities University-wide. Chancellery (Academic and International) works closely with the University’s academic and administrative leaders to:
Provides leadership across the University, with overall responsibility for strategic guidance and expert advice for internationalisation and global engagement. Supports the Vice Chancellor in leadership and management of the University of Melbourne.
The DVC and Deputy Provost, Academic and Undergraduate has accountabilities for academic staff recruitment, retention, promotion, recognition and performance management, and teaching and learning.
The PVC Indigenous has responsibilities for leadership of the University’s Indigenous higher education strategy and development.
The PVC (Teaching & Learning) leads the University's strategy in teaching, learning and assessment, curriculum innovation, educational technologies, learning analytics, and the use of physical and virtual space.
The Director, Academic Strategy Projects works with the Provost on developing and achieving the University's academic strategy.
