Working across the breadth of the University, the DVC (P&C) provides focused leadership and direction for the ‘Community’ pillar of Advancing Melbourne. Championing the implementation of the People Strategy 2023-2030, the DVC (P&C) works across the institution to enable all staff to thrive as we serve the University’s mission, education and research. The DVC (P&C) works to support the University’s commitment to continue building an innovative, inclusive and equitable workplace.

The DVC (Academic) provides strategic leadership in the development and delivery of the University's undergraduate and postgraduate programs, driving excellence in education and the student experience across teaching, learning and assessment, teaching and learning infrastructure and academic quality.

The DVC (Indigenous) collaborates with the University community and closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities to lead the development and realisation of the University's Indigenous-focused aspirations. This includes cultivating a culture in which Indigenous knowledges, histories, cultures, and perspectives are not only recognised, but also celebrated, advocated for, and actively engaged in research and education.

The PVC Students and Education leads whole-of-University approaches to education programs and development across Academic and Student Life portfolios, and oversees professional development of academic staff and awards.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous) supports the delivery of Murmuk Djerring with a particular focus on students. The role champions cultural safety, reducing historical fear and improving engagement and dissemination of Indigenous knowledges among students, both First Nations and non-indigenous, within the university community and beyond.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor (People and Equity) is responsible for amplifying the University’s Diversity & Inclusion Strategy, stewarding and implementing necessary change to policy, practice and culture to key areas of equity such as diversity and belonging, disability inclusion, gender equity, and LGBTIQA+ inclusion, such that our diverse students and staff are welcomed. The PVC (People and Equity) also has the responsibility to convene and create momentum and common purpose across the University's work on Respect.

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (People and Community), the CPO leads the University’s strategic agenda for people and culture, building a diverse, inclusive and vibrant community. As a member of the Provost's Executive Group, the CPO works closely with the Vice-Chancellor, Provost, Chief Operating Officer, and other senior leaders, partnering across the institution to deliver the University's academic mission. Leading the HR/People function, the CPO and her team support faculties and professional teams to ensure staff thrive.

The Executive Director, Office of the Provost is responsible for the overall governance, management and execution of strategy academic and student life programs and projects.

The Associate Provost leads in specific areas of engagement, cultural collections, heritage issues and development of Indigenous teaching and research activities across the University.

The Director, Academic Strategy works with the Provost on developing and achieving the University's academic strategy.
