Academic board
The Academic Board is established by the University of Melbourne Statute which sets out its powers and functions delegated to it by Council. The Board is responsible to Council for quality assurance in academic activities including maintenance of high standards in teaching, learning and research.
In accordance with the University of Melbourne Statute, the Board has the power to establish committees to advise it on matters related to its functions.
The Academic Secretary must publish all Board resolutions in a form approved by the Board. The resolutions published here relate to entry into courses and approved courses, published as a register of awards.
The Academic Board is the final appeal body for student for grievances and other matters in accordance with University statutes and regulations. A committee hears student appeals.
