Student experience

We seek to equip graduates with outstanding academic skills, and the practical grounding to conduct themselves as socially responsible citizens on the global stage. We recognise that, to continue to enable high calibre graduates, we must have a commitment to investing in all aspects of student life.

Our strategic plan, Growing Esteem 2015–2020, aims to adapt and build on the current features of our student experience model by simplifying the non-academic aspects of student life and by providing an enriching experience both on campus and virtually.

Developing the student experience in four important ways

Learning and student support services

Provided in physical and virtual formats, and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Social and learning spaces

More green areas, cafes and attractive meeting spaces to enhance the cultural, social and engagement opportunities offered on our physical campuses.

Accommodation

A significant expansion of high-quality student accommodation on and around campus.

Flexible timetabling

A shift towards more flexible teaching through an extended timetable to help balance the demands of work, study and home, while also creating more flexibility for experiential learning opportunities and global mobility.
