About the Chief Operating Officer Portfolio

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio enables quality outcomes for students, staff and partners by delivering integrated people, finance and enterprise services to drive operational excellence. The portfolio works in partnership with teams across the University to drive innovation, transformation and improved performance to deliver a safe, modern and efficient operating environment. It includes functions relating to whole-of-University operational planning and performance, people, finance, enterprise services, legal and risk management, governance, technology, estates, and sustainability.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) ensures University operations and services align with strategic goals to drive operational excellence. The COO oversees resource allocation and drives continuous improvement, innovation and transformation in service delivery. The role oversees whole-of-University operational planning and performance, people, finance, enterprise services, legal and risk management, governance, technology, estates, and sustainability. The role fosters strong internal and external partnerships to support integrated, effective and future-focused University operations.
